Este personaje, nacido en Portugal, cristiano de padres conversos, volvió a la fe mosaica. Acusado por la inquisición de judaizar y tras negarse a volver al cristianismo, fue quemado vivo en diciembre de 1532 en Mantua, hecho que perturbará fuertemente a Yosef.
